YouTube Channel Explained
By this point, you all are probably wondering what is going on with our YouTube Channel and lack of content. The short version of the story is that we discovered that our YouTube channel was suspended “based on our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service” with no other explanation. Needless to say, emotions have been running high around here in regards to this.
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of movie review and trailer reaction channels out there. Over the four weeks we were up, we were about to cross 8,000 views and 60 subscribers. It was an absolute blast to film and have conversations with other fans of film. We still don’t know what we did wrong; we never passed off content as our own, spammed or threatened users, or used any inappropriate material in our reviews or reactions. I don’t have a very high view of the way YouTube has handled this situation, so I don’t think we will be exploring any other ventures with online video in the near future.
We are working on developing a weekly podcast, so look for that in the days to come. I’m sorry for this long post, but thanks for all of your support in this new venture, and we look forward to sharing films with you in new ways in the future.
Thanks for your continued support for Above The Line!
